• 1½ pounds lamb stew meat
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups carrots, chopped
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 4 cups water


  1. In a large pot, over medium-high heat, brown the lamb.
  2. Add onion, garlic, flour, and seasonings. Continue to cook until onions are tender.
  3. Add all the chopped vegetables and water.
  4. Continue to cook over medium heat until all the vegetables are tender when pierced with a fork—about 30 minutes.
