I love the flavor of amaretto—especially when it’s paired with chocolate. But alcohol is full of empty calories, and at 7 calories per gram, I skip it and save on the calories. So in this hot chocolate, we skipped the actual amaretto and added almond extract instead to get a similar flavor with far less calories. This hot chocolate is simple, but oh, so yummy! Feel free to change the chocolate to dark, if you prefer.
